Chappell Roan labels herself a "Switch girl," currently playing Zelda: Breath of the Wild
N-I-N-T-E-N-DO
Chappell Roan has been making music for quite some time, but there’s no doubt the singer has really broken out in 2024. Chappell has had numerous tracks rush the Billboard Top 10 this year, and she’s among the most popular artists on streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music. It seems like everyone is talking about Chappell Roan, and now we have reason to as well!
Chappell popped up on the “It’s Real with Jordan and Demi Podcast,” and during the interview the discussion led to what the singer does when she’s not performing or writing music. It turns out Roan is a gamer, and she happens to be quite the fan of Nintendo titles.
In the video snippet above, you can hear Roan proclaim herself a “Switch girl,” saying she’s addicted to Nintendo’s platform. Chappell specifically name-drops Mario Kart as a favorite of hers, and she also mentions that she’s playing Zelda: Breath of the Wild right now. Yes, Chappell is also aware of Tears of the Kingdom, but she mentions that she wanted to play Breath of the Wild first before jumping into Tears of the Kingdom, as she heard the sequel was even better!
Sabrina Carpenter has one of the biggest hits of the Summer with her song Espresso, and that tune specifically name-drops the Switch and Nintendo in the chorus. Now the Big N has yet another massive music star in Roan sharing their love for the Switch as well. Looks like Nintendo has some massive fans in very high places!
