Custom Legend of Zelda: BotW treasure chest keeps your Switch games safe and sound

Legend of Zelda fans have all kinds of official merch to fawn and drool over, but that doesn’t mean players can’t come up with their own ideas as well. As a matter of fact, the latest example of a fan-made Zelda tribute might have one-upped anything that Nintendo has released!

The video above shows a one-of-a-kind treasure chested themed after the ones you find in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. As you no doubt know, defeating the enemies in certain encampments will let you gain access to these skull-themed treasure chests, making your hard-fought victory that much sweeter.

Now one ingenious fan has taken that treasure chest idea and turned it into a real-life item. In particular, this mini treasure chest was made to store some Switch game cards inside. All you have to do is give it a smack to open the chest up, but you better act fast in snagging your games, as the chest snaps shut just a few minutes later.

It’s likely Nintendo would find this design a tad too dangerous to release, but there’s no denying it’s an absolutely awesome idea.
