In addition to its memorable music, Minecraft has tons of iconic sound effects, from the strike of a pickaxe, to enemy mobs. To give players a better understanding of just where those sounds come from, Minecraft has shared a behind-the-scenes video on the subject. That includes an interview with Studio Audio Director Samuel Åberg and more of the game’s sound designers. Learn more by watching the video above.
Where do Minecraft’s sounds come from? Everywhere! Between a toilet paper roll, actual dolphins, and a grown man burping into a microphone, our Studio Audio Director Samuel Åberg will try anything to find the perfect sound. He’s also joined by Audio Designers Sandra Karlsson and Tom Koselnik Olovsson, who share some unique insights into the team’s working process.
