Splatoon 3 has seen roughly two years of support so far in terms of brand-new content, Splatfests included. As Nintendo moves forward with Splatoon 3, they’re about to celebrate everything they’ve accomplished with an absolutely massive Splatfest, and some surprises are coming along with it.

Nintendo has revealed the Grand Festival, which they’re calling the biggest Splatfest ever. This Splatfest kicks off Sept. 13th, 2024 and the theme has been revealed.

In a very appropriately-themed Splatfest, Nintendo wants to know if the past, present or future are the most important to you. Remember, Nintendo pays very close attention to how people choose in these Splatfests, and team results can actually influence the future of the Splatoon franchise, so choose wisely!

That’s not all though, as Nintendo took this occasion to reveal that amiibo aren’t dead by any means. As a matter of fact, the Big N will be releasing new amiibo for both the Squid Sisters and Off the Hook. You can get a peek at their designs in the image above, as well as a closer look in the video below. These are due out on Sept. 5th, 2024, and as usual, ccanning them will unlock new special gear. You can see a video showcasing the amiibo below.

Last but not least, Nintendo has already released Grand Festival merch in Japan. There are t-shirts for each choice in the Splatfest, and they can be picked up for 5,500 yen a piece. Along with that, a special wristband can be bought for 100 My Nintendo Platinum Points. These are also going to see release worldwide at a later date, and you can see the lineup below.
