We’re still recovering from the news that the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games series may be at an end, but here’s a bit of good news for any fans out there. Streamer Coney has just announced a brand new event centered around the game called “COINS vs RINGS”, and it’s scheduled to take place on August 1st, 2024 at 4pm ET.

The event will revolve around Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. Released 2019, this was the last game in the series to be published. According to Coney’s description of the event, “Players compete in a variety of Olympic events to earn medals for the team. Each creator on the winning team gets a $1,000 shopping spree to spend with their community!”

The lineup of competitors includes various Mario and Sonic content creators. You’ll be able to stream it on August 1st on Coney’s Twitch channel.

Thanks to Andreslop24 for the heads up!
